This product comes with a 2 year fade resistant warranty on the fabric and a 2 year workmanship warranty on the frame. Fabric warranty is pro-rata.
What is not covered by warranty
Warranty covers faults associated with workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by wind, misuse or umbrellas that are modified in any way. Umbrellas must always be collapsed carefully and the fabric furled around the outside of the frame away from the arms and secured with a strap. If the fabric is not correctly furled around the arms when closed, it can become pinched between or behind the arm. Pinching can cause a hole or mark the fabric which is not covered by warranty.
This is NOT a wind-rated umbrella and it is strongly recommended that when the wind comes up, the umbrella is collapsed and secured with a strap. Always ensure the umbrella is securely anchored into the base.
Fabric
Sunranger Cafe Series Umbrellas are made using a high quality fade-resistant fabric called Spuncrylic.
Although the fabric is solution dyed and designed to resist fading, depending on how the umbrella is used, some fading in the harsh Australian sun can occur. You umbrella is warranted for minimal fading to occur within 2 Years. The life of your umbrella will be increased by fitting a protective cover when not in use.
Maintenance
Although these umbrellas require minimal maintenance we recommend that occasional checks on all
screws and fittings be carried out. Umbrellas move in the breeze and this can cause screws to come loose over time. Occasional checking of all fittings is strongly recommended. Never close the umbrella and put on the protection cover when the umbrella is wet. This can cause the fabric to go mouldy. This is not covered under warranty.
With proper care and maintenance your Sunranger Umbrella should look great and provide you with years of trouble free service.
Why is this umbrella so much more expensive than your other Timber Market Umbrellas?
There are a number of reasons for that. One is that sourcing timber from sustainable plantations is more expensive that simply using rainforest harvested timber. It’s a bit like Organic food being more expensive than food produced using mass farming techniques.
Over and above that, this umbrellas has many unique feature points which make it perform better as well as enhance its overall appearance. Things like stainless steel fittings, marine grade rope and metal rib arm ends all add to the cost.
Do I need to buy any other bits and pieces to use this umbrella?
You’ll need some for of umbrella base or stand to support the umbrella. We also recommend purchasing an umbrella protection cover. This will help protect the fabric when not in use. Under the Brochures Tab you’ll find a chart which gives the correct size protection cover for each umbrella.
What size baseplate do I need for my umbrella?
First off use the chart under the Brochures Tab to check the diameter of the pole. Next look at our wide range of baseplate and check to ensure that the base you’re planning to purchase has a spigot large enough to accept the umbrella pole.
We always recommend adding additional weight to movable basepleates. This is because if the wind gets up and the umbrella isn’t adequartely weighted down, it can tip over and this can result in damage to the arms and frame.
Can I leave this umbrella up all the time?
We recommend that you collapse the umbrella when not using it. Although it is a strong umbrella and is tolerant to breezy conditions, it is always a good idea to fold it away when not in use, just in case a strong wind comes along and damages it.
Timber umbrellas - Care & Maintenance
Outdoor umbrellas are a staple in any garden, patio, or poolside area, offering both style and functionality by providing shade and protection from the elements. However, to ensure they continue to serve you well through the seasons, proper care and maintenance are crucial. Regular maintenance can prevent common issues like fading, mildew growth, and mechanical failure and extend the lifespan of your umbrella to ensure its safety and reliability.
Timber umbrellas require regular treatment with wood sealants to protect and display the natural beauty of the timber as well as to prevent the build-up of dust, dirt, or rotting.
