Shade Australia Pty Ltd was founded in summer 2000 by Andy McLeod with the belief that as the hottest country on earth with the highest rate of preventable skin cancer in the world, Australia not only had an opportunity, it had an obligation to lead the world in this area. The company has grown substantially since then but is still run by the founding family and still brings the family values of integrity and genuine intent to our company culture.

Shade Australia employs a team of professional sales and support staff to run our office.  If you ring us you'll probably get onto Laura who manages our office and makes sure every "i" is dotted and "t" is crossed.  You might speak to Mark or Nikki if you're making a sales call or Jess if you're wanting to follow up on an order or Steve if the enquiry is related to freight.  Often times Andy picks up the phone and does his best to answer customers questions.  Overall, it doesn't really matter who you speak to when you call or email, you are assured that your inquiry will be treated in a friendly and professional manner. 

Andy McLeod is the owner of Shade Australia and it is his job to ensure that we deliver what we promise.  That promise is that we will listen to your needs carefully and do our very best as an organisation you to match your requirements to our most cost-effective solution. Furthermore, we undertake to only stock and sell high quality goods.  If we wouldn't use it ourselves, we won't sell it.  We've been around now for 16 years and we plan to be around for many more.

Andy takes a leadership role in the company.  He works to source new products, find new suppliers, ensure consistent quality and generally help the organisation to run smoothly. He has over seen the development of shade Australia's proprietary product lines including sunranger umbrellas, ironstone industrial fabrics and quick-top marquees.
Laura Allen
Laura Allen Office Manager
Laura started with Shade Australia in 2010 as an office assistant and is now Office Manager. Laura manages the day to day running of the operation, checking freight, processing orders, taking sales inquiries and managing all the custom printing for banners, marquees and umbrellas. If you want something done, Laura is the person to talk to.
Nikki Mathews

Shade Australia’s greatest strength is our experienced and knowledgeable team.  As General Manager I am very proud of our team and the fact that every team member has been with us for many years.  I love to help find the right solution for customers who are not sure what they want before they call us. I believe Shade Australia will continue to grow as we expand our quality offering of shade and shelter solutions.

Jessica Fail OFFICE ASSISTANT
Jess has been with Shade Australia for some years now. Jess is our resident graphic designer and handles clients artwork as well as creating all our banners and brochures. Jess is our hand held umbrella expert and knows the entire range (approx..500 different lines) off by heart. Jess helps run a smooth office and is a very valuable member of our growing team.

There's not much Mark doesn't know when it comes to shade umbrellas, awnings, sails and structures. He's been in the Shade Industry now for a decade and over that time he has helped literally tens of thousands of customers find the right shade solution for their home or workplace. Marks great skill is listening to customers requirements and then tailoring just the right solution to meet their needs.
