Can I install this umbrella myself?
Sure, the umbrella comes fully assembled ready for installation. If you’re bolting the umbrella down to a concrete slab, you need to drill 4 holes and use masonry anchors (not supplied) to bolt it down. If you’re planning to install it into a grassed area, you need to dig a hole and pour a concrete footing. Once the concrete sets, you can bolt the umbrella to it.
If you order the optional wheeled resin base, you need to supply the gravel yourself (we recommend blue metal which can be purchased in 20kg bags for about $10 per bag, you need 120kgs of gravel). We have easy to follow instructions for how to attach the umbrella to this base.
Do I need any other bits and pieces to install it?
Yes. If you’re bolting down to a concrete slab, we recommend you purchase some anchor bolts from us when you purchase your umbrella.
If your installing on-ground, you need to purchase 6-8 Resinstone Ballast Blocks or pavers, 45-50cm square.
If you’re purchasing the wheeled resin base you need to purchase 120kgs of gravel or sand.
Can I leave this umbrella up all the time?
No, we don’t’ recommend it.
Although it is a strong umbrella and is tolerant to breezy conditions, it is always a good idea to fold it away when not in use, just in case a strong wind comes along and damages it.
What accessories do you recommend I purchase with this umbrella?
The umbrella does come with a polyester protection cover but it’s pretty light weight. If you really want to give your new umbrella the best possible protection we recommend you purchase a Large Cantilever Protection Cover. This will fit neatly on your new umbrella and give it the best possible protection.
A LED light is also a handy accessory to purchase. It simply clips onto a central drop-down arm.

This product comes with a 1 Year warranty on the Fame and a 3 Year fade resistant warranty on the fabric.
Warranty is on workmanship. It does not cover umbrella which are damaged due to wind. Should a warranty claim be made it is the responsibility of the customer to get the umbrella back to us or a repair depot which we designate. The condition of the umbrella will be assessed and if it is a legitimate warranty claim, we will carry out the repairs at our cost and return the umbrella to you at our cost.
Please Note: This umbrella comes with a complimentary protection cover. This cover is not covered under the warranty of the umbrella. If you'd like to upgrade to a genuine O'Bravia Protection cover, please select it from the options above.
We generally hold stock of this item at our Ingleburn warehouse but if you need it urgently or are planning to visit us to pick it up, it’s best you contact us so we can ensure that we meet your requirements. If we don’t have the stock on hand we can usually get it in quite quickly.
As this item is quite bulky, you may be required to assist in unloading the item from the delivery truck. If this is a requirement for your area, someone from Shade Australia will be in touch to organise a day that suits you best. If you are not at home on the scheduled day of delivery your item WILL NOT be left at your premises. This may incur redelivery fees.

Change of Mind

The item arrives damaged
If possible, reject the delivery if the items are visibly damaged. Otherwise, contact us asap and we’ll arrange the collection of the items and redelivery of a replacement.
We sent you the wrong item
Our sincerest apologies for this rare occurrence. We’ll arrange to pick it up at our cost and send you the correct item ASAP.
The item is faulty
This is a very frustrating experience, and your satisfaction is our priority. Contact us asap and we’ll arrange collection of the items and promptly organise repair, replacement, or refund of the item.
Important Points when returning items:
- Refunds - All items are inspected upon return, and we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee in case the item is damaged in some way. If it’s in a resalable condition, we’ll refund you the full price less the cost of return shipping. Otherwise, the restocking fee is the cost of making the item “as new” again (e.g., re-boxing the item).
- Our refund policy extends for 30 days after receiving the item. You must notify us within this time if you plan to return the goods.
- Our returns policy extends to all items we sell except for:
- Cut lengths of fabric;
- Custom-made items such as shade-sails;
- Made-to-order items such as umbrellas;
- Custom branded items such as market umbrellas.
- Ex-demonstration, second-hand, or damaged stock are not covered under this Returns Policy.
