Overview

After a decade of design and continual improvement, the NEW "Sundance" Giant Umbrella is ready for the 2010 summer season.  At least a dozen new features and refinements have been added to the new model to make it the biggest and strongest cantilever umbrella in its class. New for the 2011 season a great range of new colours from Rainbow Shade cloth with the famous 99% UV block shadecloth. Frame & Construction

Frames are manufactured from heavy-duty Galvanised steel.  The external brake-winch uses a 4mm stainless steel cable to raise and lower the canopy.

This large and heavy frame makes this umbrella the perfect pool umbrella as it can swing right out over the pool overing cooling shade whilst you and the family are swimming.

UV Protection

Each canopy is fabricated from high UV protective Rainbow Z16 shadecloth.  Depending on the colour the fabric provides up to 99% UV protection.  The fabric is very tightly woven and although it is not classified as waterproof, it does offer some protection from light showers.

Wind Tolerance  F

Installed to specification, 5 Metre Sundance Umbrellas have a standing wind rating of approx 45 km/h.  In winds over this we strongly recommend that the umbrellas be folded down.  In its collapsed position the umbrella is rated safe to winds of 160 km/h. These large large side arm or sidepost umbrellas are designed to achieve a balance of strength without be ing overly bulky or heavy.

Customers please note:  Our standard pricing is for shipping the umbrella to inter-city and inter-state customers in a galvanised frame. If you require the umbrella to be shipped with powdercoated frame, additional charges will apply due to the increased costs of handling and packaging.

We deliver these umbrellas Australia-wide.  Umbrellas which we are delivering outside the Sydney area we usually ship with a galvanised finish on the frame as the powdercoated finish can be chipped in transit.

NOTE:   As mentioned above, we can ship the umbrella frames powdercoated in special situations.  You will need to contact us to arrrange this.
